About The Texas Longhorn
Breeders Of America Foundation
The Texas Longhorn Breeders of America (TLBA) Foundation was established in 1986 to complement the Association in the preservation and promotion of the Texas Longhorn breed. The TLBA Foundation supports and benefits the Association by, among other things, providing educational programs through the distribution of information about the Texas Longhorn breed to schools/educators, civic clubs, livestock organizations, and news media. It also provides a source of funds for organizations such as 4-H Clubs, universities, and high schools and to members of our own youth organization, the Texas Longhorn Breeders of Tomorrow (TLBT) through the Brite Futures Scholarship Fund.
Furthermore, the Texas Longhorn Breeders of American Foundation and the City of Fort Worth have a unique opportunity to provide our beloved breed with a permanent World Headquarters and Museum. The Historic District of the Fort Worth Stockyards has long been an international destination in a city that was the last stop for drovers driving cattle up the Chisholm Trail. Here in Texas, we have a welcome mat ready right outside a home on land we already own, free and clear. Join us in preserving the legacy of the one and only Texas Longhorn in Fort Worth, Texas by contributing to the construction and establishment of the Texas Longhorn Breeders World Headquarters and Museum.
The TLBA Foundation operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3). For more information or to make a donation, please contact the TLBA Foundation at TXLonghornFoundation@gmail.com.
